Pivoting with Purpose: Redefining Our Vision Through User Insights
This week began with a Sunday meeting with our mentors that left us feeling quite confused. While their advice was super important, it also highlighted gaps in our "How might we question" and our vision for an object.
Determined to move forward, we took the time to collect and analyze all the data and feedback from the mentors to think of a new and improved direction for our project.
We brainstormed additional features and ideas, diving deeper into intrinsic motivation in children. Collaborating with Hadas and Noa, we explored how our product could help children engage more meaningfully with hobbies. This led us to a new focus: supporting kids in discovering and sticking with hobbies.
From this brainstorming session, we narrowed our direction to two final ideas:
Helping Kids Discover Their Passion: assisting children to explore a variety of hobbies, enabling them to find something they truly enjoy and want to pursue.
Helping Kids Stick with Their Hobbies: support and encourage children, helping them remain consistent and motivated in pursuing a hobby they already have.
To gather more insights, we conducted additional interviews with children about their hobbies and after-school activities.
This week was a turning point for our project, as we refined our direction and gained valuable insights that will shape our next steps. Moving forward, we aim to finalize our concept and start defining the features that will bring it to life.
