Testing Intuition: Observing Real Interactions

This week we focused on tweaking our prototype and putting it to the test again.

Our main goal was to check how intuitive the product feels: do users understand what to do? Are the steps clear? Can kids interact with it naturally, without needing too much explanation?

The testing brought up some valuable points for reflection. One crucial insight was that the red blinking light, used as a reminder, felt too stressful and even discouraging — we’ll look into gentler alternatives.

We also started asking ourselves more questions:

What does each light represent — a day? A week? What happens if a child skips a day? And how do they feel once the lamp is “full”?

This round of testing helped us clarify some aspects but also revealed open questions we’ll need to test further — especially with a larger group of users.

User testing reminded us how important it is to observe real interaction, even in early, imperfect stages. It gave us direction, clarity, and motivation to keep going.
